Laura Bensick is an author, screenwriter, and playwright. Her debut novel, A MOTHER WOULD NEVER, a psychological thriller exploring motherhood and mental health through a story centered on three generations of women, will be released in 2027.

Laura is a member of the Writers Guild of America and has sold shows to Netflix, FOX, 20th Television, Sony, and Warner Brothers. Her autobiographical play, Life in Paradox, was recently staged by Bespoke Plays. She holds an MFA from USC in Writing for Screen & Television and a BA from Washington University in St. Louis. Laura was born and raised in Austin, Texas and now lives in Los Angeles where she is constantly in search of a good Frito pie.
